"Coffee and cancer: what Starbucks might have argued"

Although not discussed in this interesting piece I remember reading years ago that coffee consumption was strongly related to incidence of pancreatic cancer. Since pancreatic cancer, then and now (I think), has about the lowest chance among cancer types of being survived, I steered far away from coffee. Since then, it's now accepted that coffee has health benefits. And that correlation with pancreatic cancer? Turns out it was from the confounding effect of cigarette smoking.
