"The Progressive Moment Is Over: Four reasons their era has come to an end"

I certainly think Mr. Teixeira has gotten the reasons correct for the seeming problems currently of Progressives, but color me skeptical of the conclusion. (As much as I'd like the conclusion to also be correct.) Two reasons, a general one and a specific one. General: history is usually taught with an emphasis on revolutions and other big changes, but I was taught there is a rather surprising amount of continuity in history. (Especially applying to Liberals: trust me, they are not going to fold their tents and go home.) Specific: I'm old enough to remember Reagan's landslide victory and predictions that Everything is Going to be Different Now. Yeah: things got worse.
