McCullough's new article on replicability
September 11, 2007
Bruce McCullough, who is doing the economics profession a huge service by trying to get us to practice what we preach regarding replicability, has a new article on the empirical results archive at the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking.
The news is quite discouraging. The JMCB doesn't seem to be taking seriously its own announced policy.
But I hope Bruce continues to hammer away at this issue. If our empirical results aren't generally replicable, there's no reason for anybody to take them seriously.
