I sympathize with companies having to provide technical support for PCs. For some problems, there are so many possible causes, effective support must be extremely difficult to provide. Is it the app software? The OS? Hardware? A virus or other malware? A network problem? I read somewhere recently that one particular thorny problem involving a number of users turned out to be that they were using overclocked microprocessors (and didn't know it as they had bought their PCs from local "whitebox" shops).
My sympathy notwithstanding, some technical support seems terrible. If you have a few minutes to spare, listen to this service call. It's similar to a few I've had.
