Ray Kurzweil is planning to live forever. Part of his plan is low-carbs, high protein, and lots of omega-3 fats. A study done at Duke finds that a low-carb diet seems to work. The American Heart Association correctly identifies some weaknesses in the Duke study. But if the study is confirmed by one dozen other studies, or two dozen, or ten dozen--call me crazy--the American Heart Association is not going to change its opinion.
