Heads up, folks. Emory's decision on Michael Bellesiles is expected this a.m. (Glenn Reynolds notes that Lindgren's Yale Law Journal piece on Bellesiles has been downloaded 75,000 times less than a week after it was posted to the Net. That's an astounding number. At least two morals: historians shouldn't tell "big, whopping lies" and don't anger gun owners without cause. Or maybe even with cause.)

Update: Emory put Prof. Bellesiles on paid leave for the year. Their investigation is "continuing." See InstaPundit (August 22, near the top) for some interesting speculation.
