The Onion comments--sort of--on the Administration's reaction to the CBO report

"IBM Emancipates 8,000 Wage Slaves".

"You are all free, free to go!" said IBM CEO Samuel J. Palmisano to the 600 men and women freed from the corporation's Essex Junction, VT, location. "No more must you live a bleak, hand-to-mouth existence, chained to your desks in a never-ending Monday-through-Friday, 9-to-5 cycle. Your future is wide-open. Now, go!"

(For background on the CBO report and the Administration's reaction, see this or this.)

I can buy into the Left's claim that some people quitting jobs are now "free" of jobs they hated. A few thousand yes, maybe 100,000, maybe even 500,000.

But 2.5 million people who hated their jobs, only held onto them for the health insurance and now can live a wonderful life as artists and whatnot? C'mon, get real.
