(Even better would be simply cancelling 90% of meetings.)

If you cancelled 90% of all meetings at least 50% of those remaining would still be useless. My estimate after some 45 years of observance is that at least 95% of all meetings are 'called' just because someone can. Call a meeting that is. No real point to a meeting or any real need for one, just calling one because they can.

While a salesman I made an art of getting excused from attending meetings. [It helps to know how to be incredibly disruptive by using the rules.]
