I was hoping that Wegmans would buy Harris Teeter. No such luck!

My local Kroger's does just about all that. Seriously. Not so many carts, maybe.

I still prefer Shopper's Food Warehouse. My dietary needs are simple. I am, however, glad to see the market providing shopping alternatives for those with a more discriminating/complex palate than me.
Also, at Wegman's, in an aisle filled with seemingly every type of bean you could, I couldn't find my Campbell's Pork and Beans.

After reading through the list, I came away disliking Wegman's even more. The article is creepy and filled with irrelevant SWPL sentiment, like TECHNOLOGY!! and LOCAL!! And the display of texting between two Wegman, as well as the trotting out of Cher and Baldwin, and comparing Wegman's to a church makes the article even creepier.
Note to whomever wrote this article: this is not the way to convince non-Wegman's shoppers how great Wegman's is; it's simply an article of self congratulations for liking what all the "cool" people like.
