Having tried out for Jeopardy once, I can definitely vouch for #5. I missed one question out of around 500 and was booted. Those people are 'Wicked Smart'!

Some have said the real reason Watson won was the lack of hesitation in ringing the buzzer. I remember once this young woman had a fit on "Win Ben Stein's Money" because she lost due to her inability to hit the buzzer fast enough.

My sister-in-law was a one-time Jeopardy winner ($14,000 1980s dollars), and she said the buzzer is the key.
