I would add that CK had to fight every step of the way to get where he is. He almost didn't get a college football scholarship, and when Nevada offered it to him, it was an afterthought, seemingly.
I'm guessing that many star college QBs find the NFL to be a big step up, and if they have had too easy a time getting there, they may not handle the pressure well. (A parallel with very smart kids who cannot handle suddenly not being able to ace everything effortlessly.)
