I really disliked Kate Hudson in "Almost Famous," an otherwise excellent film (Billy Crudup gives the best acting performance). Hudson's constant "I-am-wise-and-I-know-it-all" mugging-for-the-camera performance was like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. She does that in other films as well and now I can't stand to watch her.

Two items missing from the Kate Hudson side of the ledger:
2002 - Passes on the role of Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man.
2004 - Gives birth to first child.
Both would go a long way toward derailing a career in Hollywood.
