Yes, I had thought about it. And, yes, I had concluded that the prescribed posture was the best one could do under the circumstances, except that I would also cradle the back of my head in the crook of my right arm (because it is slightly more muscular than my left).

But if you look at the video, it's not obvious that lying down is not really going to help you too much, since you will crash into the ceiling, and then the floor.
