Maybe the flu season is milder because of the increased awareness due to the panic. My office is still sending emails whenever anyone has a potential case that causes a renewed fervor of obsessive hand-sanitizing.

Just another example of the problem with governmental entities. This issue had just as much a political aspect to it as it did an epidemiological aspect. However, looking at the data, you wonder why there was such a scare! It was far less significant than the usual Influenza viruses, A & B.

Kinda reminds me of the whole "dihydrogen monoxide" scare!
