News about California

If you live there, you have my sympathy. If you don't . . . be glad: California is making almost any other state government look good. (Please note that I wrote "almost". Arizona, Rhode Island, and Michigan aren't doing so well, either.)

"California faces a projected deficit of $21 billion".

"California's budget is going to be dreadful".

"Plundering California".

"California debt may be half a trillion dollars".

The left/Dems are convinced that a complete economic collapse will open the way for a Marxist takeover. I suspect they are correct in their thinking.
The magic combination of the voters unfathonable ignorance with our left wingers narcissitic egos will produce a fabulous ruin of the country.

To quote Heinlein [I think] never attribute to enemy action that which can be attributed to human stupidity. Here in Michigan there are some pols who are trying to fix stuff. The problem is the entrenched interests and a governor who is not only a product of a machine much like that in Chicago but is devoid of leadership ability, hates making actual decisions, and seems determined not to let anything happen which might upset one of her constituencies even though she's term limited.

Sound familiar?

"Arizona, Rhode Island, and Michigan" .... why did you leave New York out?
