Thanksgiving

I'm thankful I'm not a refugee. (But heartened and glad that some of the world's refugees still consider the U.S. a fine place to come to.)

Two on world poverty: A serious answer about what to do from William Easterly. Still the best answer from Sam Kinison.

And if by some chance you're having trouble finding things to be thankful for, read this beautifully written but overwhelming, searingly sad piece, "Nothing Left to Say," for an example of how terrible life can be. Most of our lives are pretty good compared to it.

From all of us at the Door, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
