This is just what I do in my day job. Not for F1 but for manufacturers. I help them reduce the amount of time their production lines and processes are stopped between products.
For a Coca-Cola,the time it takes to changeover from running a 16oz Coke to a 20oz Sprite can cost $10,000/hr or more. Reducing the average changeover by a minute, may save them $25,000/yr or more.
I use the pitstop model in my training workshops. I usually use NASCAR but, outside the US, I use F1.
