Three infamous lies
"The check is in the mail."
"I'll still respect you in the morning."
"But I do tell you that if the Democrats win, and have substantial majorities, [the] Congress of the United States will be more bipartisan." --Nancy Pelosi, 2008.

Well, she's right, you know. Bi-partisan in Lefty speak has *always* meant Republicans agreeing to do (or at least not obstruct) whatever Democrats (especially the more Lefty Democrats) want.
With "substantial majorities" (including, I'd guess, a filibuster-proof Senate) the Republicans won't be able to obstruct and disagreeing won't get them anything, so many will go along.

"When adjusted for inflation, discretionary spending — or budget items that Congress and the president can control, including defense and domestic programs, but not entitlements such as Social Security and Medicare — shot up at an average annual rate of 5.3 percent during Bush’s first six years, Slivinski calculates." Given the behavior of the Republicans when they controlled Washington, I'm having trouble coming up with reasons why we would expect Republicans to be opposed to the Democratic proposals.
