I'm glad the writer reminded hotel guests to tip the minimum wage people cleaning up after them each day. I don't know whether it's forgetfulness, ignorance, or pure cheapness that comes into play but I'm amazed at how many people I know who don't leave anything on the pillow for the maids. Even if it's only $2 or $3 that multiplied by several rooms would really help those who are working so hard for so little money. Besides the monetary value it also shows respect to the laborer for her efforts.
