The Detroit Free Press celebrates the 40th anniversary of one of the greatest pop songs of my lifetime: Aretha Franklin's version of "Respect".

That link goes to yesterday's Triumph the Insult Dog video. Not all that much in common with Aretha.

Aretha and her famous song = very over rated. She is just loud and I hate loud screaming women.

I am also sick of hearing it ad infinitum.


Been listening to a lot of blues lately, B.B. of course, and Bobby Bland, Ron Thompson, and Irma Thomas. Good stuff, and not overplayed
