I saw Crawford in person once, about a dozen years ago, on a sidewalk in DeKalb, IL (twin city to Sycamore, IL, her hometown). I didn't know who she was, but I almost stepped off the sidewalk and broke an ankle looking at the single most beautiful woman I had ever seen close up. And she was in pretty ordinary clothes (jeans and a top, to the extent that I her clothes) and without much apparent artefact in her looks.
